Setting Mail Server di Debian

Pertama kita harus menginstall paket mail server, yaitu :
- postfix
- squirrelmail
- courier-imap
- courier-pop
#apt-get install (nama paket aplikasi)
#apt-get install postfix
System akan melakukan penginstallan
· Setelah semua diinstall, kita buka file “apache.conf”
#vi /etc/squirrelmail/apache.conf
#yang perlu ditambah/diedit
ServerAdmin webmaster@afuy.com
DocumentRoot /usr/share/squirrelmail
ServerName afuy.com/webmail
#setelah itu save.
· Kemudian buka file “config.php” pada directory squirrelmail.
#yang perlu ditambah/diedit
$domain = ‘afuy.com;
#imap_server_type = ‘courier’:
#setelah itu save
· Selanjutnya buka file “main.cf” yang terletak pada “/etc/postfix/”
#vi /etc/postfix/main.cf
#yang perlu ditambah/diedit
myhostname = afuy.com/webmail
mydomain = afuy.com
mynetworks = 192.168.1.0/24 127.0.0.0/8
#192.168.1.0/24 adalah IP network kita
home_mailbox = Maildir/

MAILBOX_SIZE_LIMIT = 0 (dihapus)
#setelah itu save
· Kemudian buat directory “maildir” pada directory skel dengan perintah :
#maildirmake /etc/skel/maildir
· Setelah itu buat 2 user untuk mengetes Mail Server
#adduser namauser
· Selanjutnya restart servisnya
#/etc/init.d/postfix restart
· Untuk mengetes Mail server :
#w3m afuy.com/webmail
Setelah itu masukkan nama user yang telah kita buat tadi pada computer server 1 dan pada computer client 1.
· Jika bisa mengirim pesan dan membalas pesan, berarti mail server telah berjalan dengan lancar.
2.Trouble shooting mail
Mail server berhasil namun tidak bisa login.
Penyelesaianya:
Masalah ini terjadi karena seorang root membuat user sebelum mengkonfigurasi mail server. Jadi untuk mengatasi masalah ini seorang admin harus membuat user baru.
Selain itu, cek konfigurasi postfix. Mungkin masalah pada setting home_maildir. Cek lognya. dengan perintah :
root@bandetz$-: tail -f /var/log/syslog

1. Install paket dhcp server
# apt-get install dhcp3-server
2. Konfigurasi dhcp server
#pico /etc/dhcp3/dhcp.conf
Konfigurasi utama DHCP Server terletak pada /etc/dhcp3/dhcpd.conf.

ket: pada baris pertama adalah subnet dan netmask, baris kedua adalah range ip address yang kita berikan kepadapa klien, baris ketiga pemberian DNS untuk klien, baris keempat adalah name buat klien, baris kelima merupakan ip_router, baris keenam merupakan ip_broadcast, baris ketujuh adalah default waktu sewa dan baris terakhir maksimum waktu sewa.
3. Konfigurasi interface default
konfigurasinya terdapat di folder “/etc/default/”
#pico /etc/default/dhcp
#yang perlu di edit adalah :
INTERFACE=”eth0″
(interface yang akan dijadikan dhcp server)
Restart DHCP server
#/etc/init.d/dhcp3-server restart
jika tidak ada error, berarti konfigurasi telah benar
4. Konfigurasi interface card
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.254.1
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 192.168.254.0
broadcast 192.168.254.255
gateway 192.168.254.1
5. Konfigurasi di klien
Rubah file berikut
# nano /etc/network/interfaces
masukkan konfigurasi:
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
kemudian restart service networking
# /etc/init.d/networking restart
kemudian cek IP address
# ifconfig
jika berhasil, baca hamdalah…

Linux merupakan sistem operasi yang terbuka (open source). Artinya linux adalah sebuah sistem operasi yang GRATIS dan boleh dikembangkan oleh siapa saja. Sedangkan Windows, merupakan sistem operasi yang tertutup (komersial). Artinya, kalau kita mau pakai Sistem Operasi Windows, kita harus membeli lisensi dulu dari Microsoft (Perusahaan yang membuatnya) dan Windows tidak boleh dikembangkan oleh orang lain. Karena dia tidak meng-gratiskan sistem operasi dia. Karena linux merupakan sistem operasi yang terbuka, banyak orang yang mengembangkan linux. Sampai sekarang ada banyak macam – macam linux. Macam-macam linux itu disebut dengan “Distro”. Ada Distro linux yang namanya Debian, Suse, Redhat, Mandrake, Fedora, dan lain-lain. Mengapa banyak Distro? Karena yang mengembangkannya bukan satu orang atau perusahaan saja. Jadi nama dari distro juga sesuai keinginan yang membuatnya. Windows itu memang berbeda dengan linux. Dia juga banyak versinya. Ada Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, yang terbaru sekarang ini adalah Windows Vista. Tapi, macam-macam windows itu disebut Versi. Karena dia itu mengembangkan sistem operasi tersebut hanya satu perusahaan saja yaitu Microsoft

Perbedaan antara FAT32 dan NTFS
FAT32 dan NTFS adalah Nama dari File System di Harddisk. NTFS merupakan perkembangan dari FAT32. Jika mati lampu, Harddisk yang menggunakan file sistem FAT32 akan melakukan scandisk. Tapi harddisk yang menggunakan file sistem NTFS tidak mengecek. Karena NTFS mempunyai fitur yang tidak dimiliki oleh FAT32. Yaitu merecover secara otomatis. Jadi, file system NTFS itu tidak melakukan scandisk lagi. Karena sudah ter-recover secara otomatis. Terus, di NTFS bisa set Quota Disknya sedangkan di FAT32 tidak bisa. Perbedaan FAT32 atau NTFS adalah securitynya. Seandainya HDD yang baru itu di format menggunakan file system FAT32 dan di HDD tersebut ada beberapa USER misalnya User A, B dan C. Maka, User A dapat melihat file data User B atau C (via windows explorer).
Berbeda dengan NTFS, saat di Windows Explorer, user A tidak bisa melihat data User B atau C, begitu pula sebaliknya, meskipun folder user B kelihatan. Boleh di kata, NTFS ini privacynya sangat ketat. Sangat cocok untuk 1 komputer yang di pake beberapa User.
Macam-Macam Topologi Jaringan
1.Jenis – jenis Topologi yaitu :
> BUS
Topologi BUS terdiri daripada beberapa komputer yang disambungkan kepada satu kabel utama dengan menggunakan terminator. Kabel yang digunakan adalah kabel sepaksi, (coaxial kabel 50 ohm) dan penyambung RG58. Jarak maksimum kabel adalah 185 meter.
Kebaikan Topologi BUS
Senang untuk menambah atau mengurangkan komputer dan nod tanpa mengganggu operasi yang telah dijalankan.
Kurang kabel dan jarak LAN tidak terbatas.
Murah.
Sesuai untuk rangkaian yang kecil.
Kelemahan Topologi BUS
Jika kabel tulang belakang (Backbone) atau mana-mana nodnya bermasalah rangkaian tidak dapat berfungsi.
Memerlukan terminator untuk kedua-dua hujung kabel tulang belakang .
Sukar mengesan kerosakan.
Perlu pengulang (repeater) jika jarak LAN jauh.
Perisian tambahan diperlukan untuk mengelakkan perlanggaran (collision) data
> STAR
Topologi STAR menyambungkan setiap node (komputer dan peralatan lain) ke Hub atau Switch. Data yang dihantar dalam Topologi STAR akan melalui Hub atau Switch sebelum ke Destinasinya. HUB juga berfungsi mengawal penghantaran data dalam rangkaian. Kabel yang digunakan adalah kabel pasangan terpiuh (unshielded twisted pair) atau fiber optic.
Kelebihan Topologi STAR
· Mudah untuk menyambungkan kabel rangkaian
· Tiada gangguan pada sistem rangkaian apabila menyambung atau membuang peralatan dalam rangkaian.
Kelemahan Topologi STAR
· Memerlukan kabel yang panjang (setiap node satu kabel)
> MESH
Pada Topologi MESH tiap komputer terhubung langsung dengan komputer lain (peer to peer). Setiap komputer mempunyai jalur sendiri-sendiri dengan komputer lain, sehigga tidak akan terjadi collision domain.
Kelemahan Topologi MESH
Penggunaan ethernet dan kabel yang banyak sehingga dibutuhkan dana yang besar.
Kelebihan Topologi MESH
Apabila ada salah satu jalur pada komputer putus, komputer masih dapat berhubungan dengan jalur yang lain.
> RING
Topologi RING menghubungkan komputer dalam satu bentuk lingkaran kabel. Sinyal yang dikirim akan berkeliling dalam satu arah dan melalui tiap komputer. Tiap komputer dalam Topologi RING ini akan berfungsi juga sebagai repeater (penguat sinyal) dan mengirimkan sinyal ke komputer di sebelahnya. Karena tiap sinyal melalui tiap komputer, maka jika satu komputer mengalami masalah dapat berpengaruh ke seluruh jaringan.

> TREE
Topologi jaringan ini disebut juga sebagai Topologi jaringan bertingkat. Topologi ini biasanya digunakan untuk interkoneksi antar sentral dengan hirarki yang berbeda. Untuk hirarki yang lebih rendah digambarkan pada lokasi yang rendah dan semakin keatas mempunyai hirarki semakin tinggi. Topologi jaringan jenis ini cocok digunakan pada sistem jaringan komputer
2. Kartu jaringan (Inggris: network interface card disingkat NIC atau juga network card) adalah sebuah kartu yang berfungsi sebagai jembatan dari komputer ke sebuah jaringan komputer. Jenis NIC yang beredar, terbagi menjadi dua jenis, yakni NIC yang bersifat fisik, dan NIC yang bersifat logis. Contoh NIC yang bersifat fisik adalah NIC Ethernet, Token Ring, dan lainnya; sementara NIC yang bersifat logis adalah loopback adapter dan Dial-up Adapter. Disebut juga sebagai Network Adapter. Setiap jenis NIC diberi nomor alamat yang disebut sebagai MAC address, yang dapat bersifat statis atau dapat diubah oleh pengguna.
Komponen-Komponen Jaringan
Server adalah sebuah mesin yang berfungsi sebagai sumber data.
Client adalah sebuah mesin yang mengambil atau menerima data.
Router adalah sebuah mesin yang berfungsi untuk mengatur sistem jaringan atau mesin yang menghubungkan antara dua Network atau lebih yang Sistem Operasi Jaringannya mungkin saja berbeda.
Bridge adalah mesin yang digunakan untuk menghubungkan dua network atau lebih yang Sistem Operasi Jaringannya sama.
Repeater adalah mesin yang berfungsi untuk meneruskan paket data yang dikirim.
Modem adalah komponen yang dipakai untuk koneksi dial-up.
Crimping tool adalah alat yang dipakai untuk memasang RJ-45 ke kabel Twisted Pair.
Tester adalah alat yang berfungsi untuk menge-cek kabel Twisted Pair, Coaxial, Fiber Optik, dll.
LAN card adalah komponen yang dipakai untuk memasang kabel TP, Coaxial, Fiber Optik, dll.
Hub hanya membagi data dan tidak bisa menyimpan informasi (Mac Address).
Switch sama dengan HUB. Tapi kalau switch bisa menyimpan informasi.
Kabel media yang digunakan untuk menghubungkan dari komponen ke komponen. Contohnya : Twisted Pair (UTP dan STP), Coaxial, Fiber Optic
Konektor adalah sebuah komponen yang berfungsi sebagai penghubung antara kabel dengan LAN Card.
Metode Cabling Pada Jaringan
Ada macam-macam tipe pengkabelan. Untuk kabel Twisted Pair, dibagi 2. Ada kabel Unshield Twisted Pair (UTP) dan ada Shield Twisted Pair (STP). Pada kabel UTP ada Straight, Cross, Rollover.

Di dalam macam – macam jaringan, ada beberapa protocol. Misalnya Ethernet dan NIC. Ada beberapa macam topologi didalam jaringan. Ada topologi Ring, Star, Bus, Mesh, dll. Ada yang menggunakan kabel Twisted Pair, Coaxial, Dan Fiber Optik. Kabel Twisted Pair dibagi menjadi 2 bagian. Ada Shield Twisted Pair dan ada Unshield Twisted Pair. Untuk kabel Coaxial, kabelnya lebih baik yang dibungkus dengan karet agar tidak ada gangguan dari luar, tidak ada Noise, koneksi juga bagus, transfer paket data tidak ada yang lolos atau bocor.
Perbedaan HUB dan SWITCH
Kalau Hub, hanya membagi atau switching data dan tidak bisa menyimpan informasi (Mac Address). Sedangkan Switch, dapat menyimpan informasi. Jadi, ketika kita menggunakan fasilitas jaringan Switch akan memudahkan kita dalam mengakses data atau koneksi.
Perbedaan Print Server dan Print Sharing
Kalo Print Server, sebuah printer langsung terhubung ke HUB/SWITCH tanpa melalui komputer lagi. Sedangkan Print Sharing, sebuah printer terhubung ke komputer. Komputer itu menggunakan jaringan dan Printer disharingkan. Maka, Printer tersebut disebut Print Sharing.

Penggunaan Parameter

Banyak ditemui aplikasi yang mengijinkan user menambahkan parameter saat menjalankan aplikasi tersebut. Parameter-parameter tersebut akan dibaca pertama kali saat program dijalankan, nilai-nilai yang dikirimkan melalui parametertersebut dapat digunakan variable program saat pertama kali dijalankan dapat juga disimpan oleh program sebagai variable yang digunakan pada saat program dijalankan.
Adapun untuk dapat menjalankan program dengan parameter, dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara antara lain:
- Menggunakan RUN
- Menggunakan Task Manager
- Menggunakan Command Prompt
- Menggunakan File Batch (.bat)
- Menggunakan Shortcut
Biasanya sebuah program akan mengijinkan penggunaan parameter lebih dari satu, akan tetapi tidak tertutup kemungkinan sebuah program hanya mengijinkan hanya satu parameter, sehingga apabila terdapat lebih dari satu parameter yang diberikan, kemungkinan parameter-parameter tersebut akan diabaikan. Dalam hal ini kita akan menggunakan PCMAV sebagai contoh, dimana PCMAV mengijinkan kita mengirimkan lebih dari satu parameter dengan memberikan jarak spasi antar parameter. PCMAV juga tidak membedakan huruf besar dan huruf kecil dalam membaca parameter. Satu hal yang cukup penting, untuk dapat menjalankan program dengan parameter kita harus mengetahui format dan jenis parameter apa yang diketahui/diijinkan oleh program tersebut. Apabila kita mengirimkan parameter yang tidak diketahui oleh program tersebut, biasanya parameter tersebut akan diabaikan.
Beberapa parameter yang didukung oleh PCMAV:
/REGSHELL : Register Shell Extension, ini berguna untuk menampilkan pilihan “Scan with PCMAV” pada saat dilakukan klik kanan pada sebuah file (hanya support file tidak keluar pada klik kanan folder).
/UNREGSHELL : Unregister Shell Extension, ini berguna untuk menghapus pilihan “Scan with PCMAV”.
/FORCE : Mengizinkan PCMAV untuk memaksa membersihkan file yang terinfeksi.
/REGCLEAN : Mencoba mengembalikan registry dan setting “Tools Folder Options” ke kondisi default.
/NOMEM : Tidak melakukan scan memory.
/NOSTARTUP : Tidak melakukan scan pada saat startup PCMAV.
/NOUPDATE : Tidak melakukan pengecekan update.
- Menggunakan RUN
Cara yang pertama akan kita bahas adalah menggunakan utilitas run dari Windows, langkah-langkahnya adalah sebagai berikut:- Untuk menggunakan RUN, utilitas dari Windows ini dapat diakses melalui START kemudian pilih RUN.

- Setelah kita klik “RUN” maka akanditampilkan box/form ”run” yang dapat kita gunakan untuk membuka dokumen maupun
menjalankan aplikasi lain.
- Dalam kolom yang tersedia, kita dapat mengetikkan secara manual nama file yang akan kita jalankan, perludiperhatikan apabila kita mengetikkan secara manual, nama file harus diisi dengan lengkap yakni termasuk nama Drive dan dan direktori/folder tempat file yang akan dijalankan, sebagai contoh ”D:\PCMAV\PCMAV-CLN.exe”.
- Setelah kita klik “RUN” maka akanditampilkan box/form ”run” yang dapat kita gunakan untuk membuka dokumen maupun
Mengetikkan secara manual nama file tidak kami sarankan, gunakan tombol browse untuk memilih file yang akankita jalankan, selain lebih cepat tentunya akan menghidarkan dari kesalahan penulisan.

- Setelah file yang akan di-RUN kita pilih, dibelakang nama file tersebut tuliskan parameter yang akandiberikan, kita dapat mengisinya dengan satu parameter atau lebih. Apabila kita memberikan parameter lebih dari satu berikan jarak spasi diantara parameter tersebut, contoh:
“D:\PCMAV\PCMAV-CLN.exe” /noStartUp
“D:\PCMAV\PCMAV-CLN.exe” /noStartUp /noUpdate /nomem /regshell - Langkah terakhir adalah menekan tombol OK atau menekan enter untuk mulai menjalankan program.
- Setelah file yang akan di-RUN kita pilih, dibelakang nama file tersebut tuliskan parameter yang akandiberikan, kita dapat mengisinya dengan satu parameter atau lebih. Apabila kita memberikan parameter lebih dari satu berikan jarak spasi diantara parameter tersebut, contoh:
- Menggunakan Task Manager
Penggunaan Task Manager hampir sama dengan penggunaan RUN, yang berbeda adalah cara memulai/memanggil utilitas RUN.- Yang pertama dilakukan adalah memanggil Task Manager dengan menekan Ctrl-Alt-Del, semua pengguna Windowspasti sudah tahu walaupun kebanyakan hanya digunakan untuk meng-Kill program yang ngehang.
- Dalam TAB Application, tekan tombol ”New Task…”
- Task Manager akan menampilkan form ”Create New Task” yang sama persis dengan tampilan utilitas ”Run”,sehingga langkah selanjutnya adalah sama persis dengan langkah-langkah apabila kita menggunakan “Run”.
- Menggunakan Command Prompt
Menjalankan program dengan parameter dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan program command prompt (WindowsXP) atau DOS Prompt(98). Untuk lebih memudahkan dalam penggunaan command prompt, kita dapat menyimpan perintah perintah DOS tersebut dalam file batch sehingga disaat yang lain kita cukup menjalankan file batch tersebut. Adapun langkah-langkah untuk menggunakan Command Promt adalah sebagai berikut:- Jalankan Command Promt (biasanya ada di Start-> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt )
- Agar lebih mudah, masuk ke Drive dan direktory dimana PCMAV disimpan
- Tulis nama file PCMAV yang akan dijalankan dan tambahkan parameter sesuai dengan kebutuhan, misal /nomem /noupdate.
- Tekan enter untuk menjalankan PCMAV
- Menggunakan File Batch (.bat)
Penggunaan Command Prompt mungkin tidak efektif karena setiap kali kita ingin menjalankan program tersebut kita harusmembuka command prompt, menuliskan nama file dan menambahkan parameter. Untuk lebih memudahkan kita dapat memanfaatkan
batch file (file dengan extensi .bat). Pada prinsipnya penggunaan file batch sama dengan penggunaan command promt, apabila dengan prompt kita harus menuliskan perintah setiap kali akan menjalankan program tersebut, dengan menggunakan file batch kita dapat menyimpan perintah-perintah tesebut dalam sebuah file sehingga kita cukup menjalankan file batch tersebut untuk menjalankan program dengan parameter yang diinginkan. Langkah-langkah untuk membuat file batch,:- Jalankan text editor, misal notepad
- Tuliskan perintah yang akan dijalankan misal “PCMAV-CLN.exe /Nomem /nostartUp”
- Simpan file tersebut dengan extensi .bat, misal “pcmav-cln_nomem_nostartup.bat” dalam folder yang sama dengan PCMAV kita simpan.
- Jalankan file bat yang telah kita buat dengan mendouble klik.
- Windows akan membuka command promt dan otomatis menjalankan PCMAV dengan parameter seperti yang kita inginkan.
Menulis di notepad, file batch memanggil command promt dan PCMAV mulai dijalankan

- Penggunaan file batch akan sangat memudahkan kita, karena cukup dengan menjalankan file batch dengan parameter yang sesuai tanpa harus mengetikkan perintah yang sama berulang kali.
- File batch dapat dimodifikasi agar lebih interaktif dengan menampilkan pilihan-pilihan sehingga cukup dengan 1 file batch kita dapat menjalankan PCMAV (CLN dan RTP) dengan berbagai opsi parameter, saya tidak akan membahas detail disini karena akan menjadi terlalu panjang, bagi yang tertarik menggunakan dengan file batch, saya sediakan samplenya (beberapa sample dalam file rar), silahkan didownload dan silahkan dimodifikasi.
- Kelebihan file batch yang lain adalah, apabila lokasi folder PCMAV dipindah atau direname, file batch tetap dapat dijalankan dengan catatan
file batch diletakkan dalam direktori yang sama, serta perintah file batch adalah
seperti contoh di atas dan tidak menggunakan alamat abosulut dari file PCMAV. - File batch (.bat) biasanya akan memiliki icon seperti ini dibawah, jadi jangan kawatir file tesebut bukan virus!
- Menggunakan Shortcut
Cara terakhir yang akan saya informasikan adalah dengan memanfaatkan shortcut, akan saya jelaskan salah satu cara untuk membuat shortcut dan menambahkan parameter. program.- Klik kanan pada file yang akan kita buat shortcut-nya misal PCMAV-CLN.exe atau PCMAV-RTP.exe, dankemudian klik pada daerah kosong dan klik kanan lagi dan memilih “paste shortcut”.
- Berikutnya untuk menambahkan parameter, klik kanan pada file shortcut yang baru saja kita buat, kemudian pilih “properties”.
- Pada bagian target tambahkan parameter sesuai dengan yang kita inginkan.
- Untuk lebih memudahkan mengingatnya, beri nama shortcut tersebut sesuai dengan parameter yg diberikan, misal”PCMAV-CLN no update” untuk shortcut PCMAV tanpa melakukan pengecekan update.
- Anda dapat membuat banyak shortcut, dengan berbagai variasi parameter.
- Untuk lebih mudah dalam mengaksesnya,memudahkan, shortcut tersebut dapat kita copy ke desktop ataupun startmenu.
- Perlu diperhatikan bahwa apabila kita merubah/memindah folder ataupun nama file PCMAV, shortcut yang sudahkita buat menjadi tidak dapat dijalankan karena file targetnya hilang.
- Klik kanan pada file yang akan kita buat shortcut-nya misal PCMAV-CLN.exe atau PCMAV-RTP.exe, dankemudian klik pada daerah kosong dan klik kanan lagi dan memilih “paste shortcut”.

1. Software
Software adalah perangkat lunak. Artinya, sesuatu yang hanya bisa dilihat dan tidak bisa diraba atau digenggam. Dalam software ada dua bagian. Ada yang disebut Sistem operasi (Operating System) dan sistem aplikasi (Aplication System). Sistem Operasi adalah sistem yang mengatur keseluruhan kinerja komputer. Sedangkan sistem aplikasi hanya bisa digunakan untuk satu tujuan. Misalnya, Microsoft Office Word 2003 adalah software aplikasi yang hanya bisa mengolah kata. Sedangkan Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 adalah software yang mengatur komputer atau bisa disebut “otak software komputer”.
2. Hardware
Hardware adalah perangkat keras. Artinya, sesuatu yang bisa dilihat dan juga bisa diraba. Contohnya, Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor, dsb.
3. Brainware
Brainware adalah Perangkat Manusia (User). Artinya seseorang yang mengatur atau menggunakan komputer. Baik sistem operasi maupun aplikasi. Semua kegiatan tidak bisa dilaksanakan tanpa user.
